Seal Trust™ EPDM Cover Tapes are cured EPDM cover rubber with specially formulated butyl mastic extruded together for typical roofing applications such as cover for most metal terminations including gravel-stops and drip edge, and extensively used for horizontal patching, seam repairs and seam overlays. This peel and stick product has long term heat and chemical resistance and gives Seal Trust Cover Tape the ability to remain flexible in harsh conditions. Surpassing the industry standards for tack and shear strength our cover tape products provide superior holding power for long life and high durability. Industry standard roofing membrane cleaners and primers must be used to clean the membrane before application. Used with EPDM, TPO, and some PVC roofing membranes.

Available in black or white

Application Instructions:

Always clean and prime membrane using roofing industry standard products for tape applications such as Seal Trust Tack Back™ Primer or Low VOC Tape Primer. Allow primer to dry before installing tapes. Cover Tape is not for use in flashing applications. Product is a peel and stick cured cover tape. Used for covering metal termination bars, drip edge, and/or all purpose bar in seam applications etc. Apply in primed area by peeling release paper off of 6-12 inches of tape. Stick the tape onto the membrane, while continuing to pull release paper off. Make sure you start on a straight line. Continue pulling release paper off as you move down the pre-primed area. Use sharp scissors for cutting the cover tape. Use metal seam roller with some force perpendicular to tape for proper adhesion.

Product Information:

Seal Trust™ Flashing Tapes are uncured EPDM rubber with specially formulated butyl mastic used in applications on roofs where pipes, stacks, vents, or corners require flexible flashing products to ensure no water infiltration into the roofing system. Flashing Tape allows molding or slight stretching of the material then slowly cures to form. With superior tack and peel strengths, our butyl mastic remains flexible in harsh conditions and gives a permanent water tight seal. Industry standard roofing membrane cleaners and primers must be used to clean the surfaces before application.

Application Instructions:

Always clean and prime membrane using roofing industry standard products for tape applications such as Seal Trust Tack Back™ Primer or Low VOC Tape Primer. Allow primer to dry before installing tapes. Field flashing corners, stacks, vents, or other roofing installation procedures where material must be formed. Do not over stretch. Not for use in horizontal seam repairs. Application by experienced roofing professionals recommended.

Available in 10.5 oz. tubes

Product Information:

Our EPDM Lap caulk is available in 10.5 oz tubes in both black or white for use in single ply membrane applications such as EPDM or TPO. Standard caulk gun is required for application. Product should not be screed or smoothed after application. This caulk is meant to prevent water infiltration into seams and overlaps prior to the adhesive setting up. Usually 24-48 hours depending on temperature and humidity.

Application Instructions:

Our EPDM Lap Caulk is used when applying splice and/ or bonding adhesives where membrane is overlapped. Prevents initial moisture infiltration before the adhesives are set. Standard caulk gun required for use. Once plastic top is cut you must puncture the tube through the plastic top with a screw driver or long screw or nail to begin application. Do not screed or smooth caulk once applied. All seams that were glued or installed should be caulked at the end of each day.

Latex Bonding Adhesive Product Information:

Seal Trust™ Latex Bonding Adhesive is a water based adhesive used in adhering EPDM or TPO membranes to various substrates. Product goes on white and dries by evaporation to a clear film.

Application Instructions:

Each gallon covers approximately 100 square feet ONLY. Apply enough adhesive to roof substrate so that membrane will be coated by adhesive when rolled into it. MEMBRANE MUST BE LAID INTO WET ADHESIVE. Wrinkles may be brushed out while adhesive is still wet. ON HOT DAYS, THE ADHESIVE MAY DRY TOO FAST TO USE THIS PROCEDURE. If so apply a thin coat of adhesive to the roof surface and the back of the membrane. For highest initial bond strength join after film becomes tacky. Initial tests indicate that adhesives may be used at temperatures as low as 40F. DO NOT ALLOW MATERIAL TO FREEZE. Meets OTC VOC requirements.

Available in 1 gallon cans or 5 gallon pails

Product Information:

Seal Trust™ Low VOC Neoprene Bonding Adhesive is designed for use with EPDM and TPO membranes to adhere to insulation boards such as ISO and wood fiber and also to wood, metal, masonry and approved roofing substrates. It may also be used as a general contact bond adhesive for both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is especially formulated for use in OTC states with Low VOC requirements. May dry faster than regular bonding adhesives due to the solvent content. May be applied using brush, roller or squeegee and also may be sprayed applied using proper equipment.

Application Instructions:

Recommended application instructions for use in EPDM projects are printed on the container label. Care must be taken to ensure adequate adhesive coverage when using some substrates with irregular surface patterns. Stir well before use. May be warmed to room temperature before use to promote easier application. Apply a thin coat to both intended surfaces and let adhesive “dry” until it is tacky to the touch. Mate both surfaces and apply mild pressure. Once the intended surfaces are mated, it will not be possible to reposition them without breaking the bond. Membrane should be rolled when completed. CAUTION. Keep bonding adhesive out of the seam areas at all times!
